The Philodendron White Wizard (Philodendron erubescens 'White Wizard') is the perfect addition to any fan of variegated plants collection. This unique plant loves to climb as it grows and would benefit from a coco coir pole, trellis, or similar for suppot which will help it grow larger leaves as well.

Light: Bright, indirect light will help the Philodendron White Wizard grow faster, produce more leaves, and maintain its varigated colouration on new growth.

Water: Let the top 1-2" dry out between waterings, about one per week or two weeks. A Philodendren White Wizard will need water once about half the soil is dry. This plant will tolerate being dry rather than being over-watered. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

Soil & Containers: Requires a soil mix that is airy and well-draining to help prevent water-logging. A soilless potting mix is also a great choice for this houseplant: equal parts potting soil, coco coir, orchid bark, and perlite is a great homemade mix.

Fertilizer: Feeding this plant regularly during the active growing period will help to keep its colours stable and vibrant. During spring and summer, apply a balanced fertilizer once a month during watering. Stop fertilizing entirely once the temperatures begin to drop in the early fall and don't fertilize during the winter months when the plant is dormant.

Temperature and Humidity: This is a tropical plant that enjoys warm, slightly humid conditions. As long as the plant is kept in temperatures between 18-26°C it will be very happy. It will thrive if it's fiven a bit of extra humidity, from simple misting with a spray bottle to placing a humidifer close by to help boot humidity.

Toxicity: The Philodendron White Wizard, like all aroids, is toxic to humans and pets.

Growing Tips: This plant does not require frequent repotting, only about once every 1-2 years, or whenever it outgrows its potting container, is sufficient. Its always best to wait until spring or summer to repot since the plant is actively growing, and you'll only want to choose a pot that is 1-3" bigger than its existing container.
